Songwriters Night Is March 14 At Heritage House

Wednesday, March 6, 2019
On the second Thursday of every month at The Heritage House Arts and Civic Center in East Brainerd from 7-9 p.m., four singer-songwriters from the Chattanooga community put on a free house concert called the SongWriter's Night.

The March 14 performers will be Cody Ray, Grizzly Fowler, Webb Barrringer and Mike Crowder.

"Every month attendees have the opportunity to hear some of the most gifted musical talent that the Scenic City has to offer, as a round of singer-writers play their compositions and tell the moving stories behind their inspiration," organizers said.

The event is free to the public, courtesy of the Chattanooga Songwriters Association and the Chattanooga Department of Youth & Family Development.

The event is hosted by the staff at the Heritage House - Manager Chris Holley and Arts Assistant Kris Jones.

From 6:30-7 p.m.
attendees can mingle with the songwriters over a cup of coffee and light refreshments. The musicians will be available afterwords to hear personal impressions of the concert, and their latest CD albums will be available for purchase.

The Heritage House is located at 1428 Jenkins Road in Chattanooga, in the heart of Jack Benson Heritage Park, just off of E. East Brainerd Road. If coming from the interstate, turn left at the Jenkins Road intersection across from the Food City Grocery Plaza, and then right into Jack Benson Heritage Park. Heritage House is the large neo-Georgian mansion located at the center of the park.

In front of this community, I stood up and specifically asked the county mayor if growth could continue in Ooltewah and Harrison on septic tanks ... (click for more)

Our Roads Need To Be Repaired For Ironman - And Response

Chattanooga being a finalist for the 2021 Ironman is great news. The business gained at the local bicycle repair shops from bent rims, busted tires and warped frames should produce some great local revenue. The local physicians should see a surge as well from the twisted ankles and busted up knees from dips, humps and pot holes on our area roads that could swallow a small child. ... (click for more)
