HHM CPAs Expands Firm Adding 4 To Team

HHM Certified Public Accountants has hired four employees in the Chattanooga office. The new hires include three staff accountants and an administrative assistant. 

HHM’s newest staff accountants are Chandler Goodwin, Chris van der Merwe, and Austin Sams. Ms. Goodwin and Mr. Sams join the Dealership Services Group while Mr. van der Merwe joins the Management Advisory Services Group. Jenna Thomasson joins the firm as an administrative assistant.

In her new role, Ms. Goodwin will provide both audit and tax services to clients. Previously, Ms. Goodwin spent three years working in corporate accounting in the financial services industry.

Mr. Sams brings three years accounting experience to the firm. He will support both audit and tax services.

Mr. Merwe started at HHM first as an intern but quickly transitioned to a full time position. As a staff accountant, Mr. Merwe will provide value-added services such as cash forecasting and planning and tax support. Prior to his position with the firm, Mr. Merwe gained experience in both private and public accounting through internships. 

Ms. Thomasson joins HHM’s billing department as an administrative assistant in which she will handle accounts receivable, client billing, and other employee reporting. Ms. Thomasson has over 10 years’ experience in administration and client service positions.
