More and more outbreaks of Hepatitis A are being reported in our area. My question is why the Hamilton County Health Department and the State of Tennessee itself does not mandate that all restaurant employees be screened and inoculated (shots) for this deadly disease.
One local and very well know restaurant recently took the proactive step and required all of their employees to be inoculated and attend a short health department course which came with a certification. All restaurants in Tennessee or at least Hamilton County should follow in the steps of this restaurant.
Would the requirement of mandatory testing require a legislative bill to be introduced in this matter, just wondering.
A local restaurant had to recently close their doors and business for good after an employee contracted Hepatitis A. This could very easily be a death sentence for any business.
