Inmate At Jail Who Was Unresponsive Makes Recovery And Is Released From Jail

Friday, April 12, 2019

An inmate at the County Jail who was found to be unresponsive and was listed in critical condition has recovered and been released from jail.

In the incident last Monday, Hamilton County Sheriff corrections personnel discovered the inmate and he was transported to a local hospital.

Authorities said it was later determined he had been in an altercation earlier with a cellmate, which may have accounted for his medical condition.

His case was dismissed Wednesday and he is no longer in custody.

Authorities have still not released the name of a county jail inmate who was discovered on Wednesday experiencing a medical emergency.

Hamilton County EMS was immediately called to the scene to provide medical assistance. The inmate was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

There was an incident on April 4 in which an inmate stabbed another with a shank. The inmate who was injured did not require hospital treatment. The person who stabbed the inmate was tased.

Or increased tractor trailer traffic with proportional damage to the road up and down the mountain? Or multiple traffic lights at the “W” Road intersection and at Timesville Road? When ... Roy Exum: This Ain’t Gonna’ Work

When Governor Bill Lee talks about education, or the lack of it, I’ll listen. He’s the guy who, when he found his newly-hired employees were wanting, his thriving Lee Company in Nashville started its own vocational school and paid them to learn. The investment was brilliant and the outcome obvious. But now comes the bigger gamble, vouchers for some and, for others, charter schools ... (click for more)

KNOXVILLE – There was a distinct echo in Jeremy Pruitt’s comments during the final week of Tennessee’s spring football practice. On April 9, the Vols’ head coach said the following about UT’s offensive line: “We have to be more consistent. We have to play with a little better pad level. We have to become better finishers.” Four days later, following the Orange & White ... (click for more)

Sale Creek Wins Soggy Yellow Jacket Classic

It was a miserable afternoon to be sitting at Lookout Valley Elementary School’s O’Mary-Conard Field for the last three games of the annual Yellow Jacket Classic softball tournament, but Sale Creek coach Clifford Kirk was just happy for his Sale Creek girls to have a chance to play. It was a worthwhile weekend for the Lady Panthers as they won their pool by winning all three ... (click for more)
