David Lee McCullough, 66, of Rising Fawn, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2019. He was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and was of the Christian faith. He retired from Mueller Company in 2017, after more than 34 years of service, and loved spending time with his family & friends. He enjoyed collecting guns & knives, loved playing golf and just being outdoors. He was a loving and devoted brother and husband that will be truly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ikie & Mary Elizabeth, and brother, Ralph Gene McCullough.
Survivors include his loving wife of more than 49 years, Nelda Smith McCullough; brothers, William “Bill” Hixon and Perry McCullough; sisters, Delola & Doug Smith, Sheila Ridley and Mary Faye Franklin; several nieces, nephews and numerous extended family & friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 13 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel, with Bro. Cecil Gravitt and Bro. Charles McElhaney officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery on Lookout Mountain. The family will receive friends after 4 p.m. on Friday and prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
