Katherine McCauley, age 90, Summerville, Georgia, passed away Friday, April 12, 2019, in a local nursing home.
She was born in Cedar Bluff, Al. on March 20, 1929 to the late William (W.T.) and Ettie Jane Abercrombie Millican. She was a member of West Summerville Baptist Church and an honorary member of Mount Zion Independent Church. Mrs. McCauley was retired from the creeling department of Mohawk Industry.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton McCauley; sister, Willie Jane Millican; and brothers, J. B. Millican and Cecil Millican.
Surviving are sisters and brother-in-law, Annie Ruth and Robert Love and Edith Adams; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 15, at 1 p.m. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Freddy Waldrop and Rev. Tracy Espy officiating. Interment will be in West Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Robert Love, Curtis Cleveland, Brandon Seymore, Chad Millican, and David Espy. Honorary pallbearers are Hugh Millican, Wayne Lee, Rollett Evett, and members of West Summerville Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends Sunday, April 14, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
