UTC Golfers Seventh At Old Waverly Collegiate

The Chattanooga Mocs men’s golf team is seventh after a 36-hole day at the Old Waverly Collegiate hosted by Mississippi State. The Mocs opened with 287 and closed with 284 for a total of 571.

That puts the squad five shots out of the top 5 and fifth-place Middle Tennessee. They’re just three behind Mississippi State in sixth with 568.

Oliver Simonsen and Connor Nolan lead the way at 3-under 141. Simonsen turned in 71 and 70 for his two cards Monday, while Nolan followed a 72 with the low round by a Moc with 3-under 69 in the afternoon.
That duo is tied for 16th.

Will Porter carded twin 73s for a 2-over 146. Dominic Jones had a 1-under 71 and 76 for 147 followed by Etienne Brault who started with 76 and closed with 72 totaling 148.

ULM lead with 554, seven clear of second-place Vanderbilt. Middle Tennessee’s Marcus Boyd is the individual leader with an 8-under 136.

The squad finishes tomorrow paired with South Alabama (575) and Memphis (578). Live scoring and pairings, when available, are linked above.
