Tymetric Lejuan Graham Shot And Killed On Dodson Avenue Monday Evening; Deontae Ornez Talley Turns Himself In

Tymetric Lejuan Graham, 32, was shot and killed Monday evening on Dodson Avenue. 

Deontae Ornez Talley, 29, was identified as the suspect and warrants were issued for criminal homicide and unlawful possession of a weapon. He later turned himself in.

Police said the incident was caught on police video. 

At approximately 6:56 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to the 900 block of Dodson Avenue on a report of a person shot.

Upon arrival, police located the victim who had been shot. Hamilton County EMS responded and transported him to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Police secured the crime scene and called for the CPD Violent Crimes Bureau to respond.
Investigators were able to determine that Graham and Talley were in an altercation prior to the shooting. Police said the video showed Talley pulling a gun and shooting Graham multiple times. 

Talley fled the scene, running south on Dodson and then east on Rawlings Street.

Talley is currently on probation. He was convicted of aggravated assault in 2009 and has a narcotics conviction from 2017. His bond has been set at $1,500,000.
