Joseph Allen Britt, 84, of Trenton, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at CHI Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga.
He was born on July 21, 1934 in Heber Springs, Ar., the son of Berry and Ruby Britt. Mr. Britt was married to the late Doris Joan Groschwitz on July 9, 1955 and she preceded him in death on May 4, 2011. He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1954 to 1958, and was a retired truck driver. Mr. Britt enjoyed old westerns, golf, woodworking and his grand and great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by son, Douglas Britt; daughter, Linda Owens; brother, sisters and parents.
Mr. Britt will be missed by his daughter, Yvonne (Mike) Gothard; daughter, Norma (Bill) Ramey; daughter, Beverly Guess; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two brothers; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 20 in the funeral home chapel.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday at the Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory, Trenton.
