Vivian Blevins Carter, 94, of East Ridge, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2019.

She was a lifetime member of East Ridge Baptist Church and a member of Central High School’s graduating class of 1942.  Vivian worked for TAG Railroad and at East Ridge Baptist Church, where she was a teacher at the daycare for 35 years and taught Sunday School to first grade for over 40 years.

Vivian was preceded in death by her husband Eli B. Carter of Newton Chevrolet.

Survivors include her son, Lee (Valeria) Carter; her grandchildren, Annie Carter, Erin (Jon) Thomas and Hannah (Adam) Finney; her great grandchildren, Ashley, Brandon and Natalie Finney, and Mia and Lydia Thomas and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 19, in the funeral home chapel officiated by Captain Tommy Preston. Interment will follow at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
