Henry Plott
Henry Lee Plott, 86, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2019.
He was known for his skill as a builder and built many churches and homes in the community. Henry served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a deacon at Welcome Hill Baptist Church and was an avid fisherman. His family will always remember him as an “A #1” person.
Henry is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Barbara Baggett Plott; daughters and sons-in-law, Randy and Pam Plott Vaughn, Paula Plott Gregg, and David Gregg; and grandchildren, Olivia Vaughn, Henry Vaughn, Sayward Gregg and Silvey Gregg.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 19, at Welcome Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Randy Postell, Randy Vaughn and Chris Tarvin officiating. The Explorer Boys of Welcome Hill will serve as honorary pallbearers. Military honors will be by American Legion Post 112. Burial will be in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday, April 19, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Love Funeral Home.
