Anthony Simon
Anthony “Tyke” Dewayne Simon, Sr., 46, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at his residence in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
He attended Brainerd High School. He was employed by Texas Roadhouse for nine years. Anthony loved to cook; it was his passion. He grew up in Mt. Canaan Baptist Church under his uncle, Reverend Dr. Melvin Jordan and cousin, Dr. Ternae Jordan, Jr. Anthony was a member of Inner Peace Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Cheryl (Robert, Jr.) Westfield; grandparents, Green and Doris Jordan; grandfather, Robert Westfield, Sr.; brother, Antonio Few; and sister, Toninica Few. Survivors include his wife, Shontell Sanders-Simon of Ft. Wayne, IN; sons, DeAngelo Simon of Chattanooga, Anthony Simon, Jr. of Knoxville,Corey Appleberry of Chattanooga, Cadarius Gray, and Cordell Hardy, both of Ft. Wayne; eight grandchildren; father, Anthony Few of Chattanooga; grandmothers, Ruby Westfield and Betty McDonald, both of Chattanooga; brother, Robert (Niki) Westfield of Murfreesboro, Tn.; sisters, Faith (Ed) Smith, April (William) Roots, both of Atlanta, and Monique Few of Chattanooga; uncle, Darryl Moore; aunts, Jackie Stewart and Pam Jordan, all of Chattanooga; favorite cousin/sister, Marquita (Jonathan) Crawford of Clarksville, Tn.; mother-in-law, Margaret Sanders; sister-in-law, Stacey Sanders; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
He will lie in state on Saturday, April 20, from 1-4 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
There will be no service.
