Danny Coulter
Danny Lynn Coulter, 73, of Evensville, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2019.
He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Danny taught art and was a mentor to hundreds of students during his 30 years at Soddy-Daisy High School. He was loved by his students and stayed in touch with many through the years.He also helped coach basketball and baseball at the high school. After teaching he worked for many years with fire investigation at Tech-Ni-Fire Services. Danny was a big part of the art scene in Chattanooga for several years. He loved hiking, photography and history.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Asa Johnson Coulter and Mildred and Clifton O’Neal; brother, Johnny Coulter and brother-in-law, Glenn Aslinger.
Survivors are his loving wife, Ginger Coulter; children, Lori Estes (Curtis), Brooke Winsett and Candace Dempsey (Brian); grandchildren, Jake, Kenzey and Gracey Estes, Elizabeth Johnson; siblings, Patti Aslinger and Fred Coulter (Donna) and several nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
There will be a visitation on Friday, April 19, from 5-8 p.m. and on Saturday, April 20, from 12-2 p.m. at the funeral home followed by a Celebration of Life at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Clyde Fitzgerald officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the ALS Association at www.alsa.org or the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 942 in Soddy-Daisy.
