Thomas Ray "Tommy" Whaley, 71, a resident of Cleveland, past away on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, in a Knoxville health care facility.
Tommy was the son of the late Ressie McAlister Whaley Headrick and Ernest Whaley. His sister, Wanda Farley also preceded him in death. Tommy retired from Bowater Paper Mill with 32 years of service. He was a U. S. AirForce Veteran serving in the Vietnam War. Thomas Ray Whaley will be missed by everyone.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Janice Whaley of Cleveland, his son, Dustin Whaley, his daughter, Brittany Whaley, his grandchildren, Megan and Coby, his great grandchildren, Serenity and Atticus Pheleps, his sister, Sandy Moore and her husband Ronnie, his brother, Jeff Whaley, his brother in law, Larry Farley and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Saturday, April 20, at 2 p.m. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel with Reverend Kenny Isbill officiating.
Interment will follow in the Sumach Cemetery in Murray County, Ga., with family and friends serving as casket bearers. Military honors will be given.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
