Lookout Valley Softball Defeats Grundy, Loses To Marion At Opening Of Yellow Jacket Classic

Marion County softball banged out nine hits to take an 8-0 victory over host Lookout Valley at the opening of the Yellow Jacket Classic.

The Yellow Jackets were held to just one hit in the four-inning contest.

In the first game of the tournament, Lookout Valley scored in every inning to defeat Grundy County 10-7.

Grundy outhit the Yellow Jackets 13-7, but were plagued by five errors.

Red Bank beat South Pittsburg 2-1.

Teams involved include Division I Sale Creek, Marion County, Lookout Valley and Grundy County, and Division II Red Bank, South Pittsburg and Tellico Plains.
