Chattanooga Red Wolves SC Hosts South Georgia Tormenta FC Saturday

Chattanooga Red Wolves SC (1-2-0) is set to face league leader South Georgia Tormenta FC (2-0-2) for the first-ever meeting between the two clubs. The match kicks off at 7:00 p.m. ET from David Stanton Field tomorrow, Saturday, April 20. 

The Red Wolves are coming off of a 1-0 road loss against Greenville Triumph SC (2-1-0). Triumph's Jake Keegan found the net in the 74th minute scoring his second goal of the season. The hosts tallied 11 shots compared to the Red Wolves' five. Veteran striker Eamon Zayed finished the match with two chances created, and goalkeeper Alex Mangels finished with six crosses claimed and two punches, despite the heavy volume of pressure by the Triumph's attack. 

The Red Wolves are looking to claim the team's second victory of the regular season. 

Following the match, Chattanooga Red Wolves SC will return to a week of training before hitting the road to Richmond, Virginia to face Richmond Kickers on Saturday, April 27 at 7:00 p.m at City Stadium.

The match features an Easter 'Egg'stravaganza theme complete with a visit from the Easter Bunny and a halftime Easter egg scramble for kids ten and under to enjoy.  There will be an Easter bag decorating station located in the grassy Kid Zone next to the Chick-fil-a Family Section.

In consideration of Easter weekend, there will be no Red Wolves Biergarten for this match. The biergarten will resume on Saturday, May 25 for our Memorial Day weekend celebration match vs. Greenville Triumph SC.

Fans are still encouraged to participate in tailgate festivities prior to tomorrow's kickoff. Designated tailgate area is located off of Williams & 33rd st.  

South Georgia Tormenta FC is a professional soccer club based in Statesboro, Georgia, founded in 2015. The club established itself as one of the premier USL League Two teams (formerly known as PDL) across the United States before joining USL League One as the founding member of the league. The club plays its regular season matches at Georgia Southern University's Erk Russell Park while its 5,000-seat soccer-specific stadium is being built. The team is led by head coach John Miglarese. Assistant coaches are Jorge Gonzalez and John Knot.
