On the final day of the Trojan Classic, East Hamilton knocked off Wilson Central, 5-3, in the Soddy-Daisy Trojan Classic and improved its record to 21-10 on the season.
Chase Roberts (3-1) scattered five hits over six innings and struck out six in picking up the win. Isaac Moulds worked the seventh and got his first save.
Wilson Central’s Blaine Mabry came on in relief of Kameron Bond in the fifth and wound up taking the loss.
Pierce Durham went 2 for 2 and drove in two runs for the Hurricanes. Conner Thornburg was 2 for 4 with an RBI, Bradley Garland had two hits and Blaine Savage had a hit on one RBI.
Mabry collected two hits in three at-bats for Wilson Central and Matthew Jenkinson added a two-run double.
Tullahoma 6, Soddy-Daisy 0: The Wildcats scored three runs in the first inning and four in the sixth.
The Wildcats got a 3 for 4 effort by Levi Longhorn that included a double and triple and two pitchers held the Trojans to three hits – singles by Garrett Dent, Chris Branam and Noah Howard.
Hunter Ward started for Soddy-Daisy and allowed five hits and three runs in five innings on the mound. Ward walked four. Dent worked an inning and gave up four runs, none earned. The Trojans committed four errors.
Central Gwinnett 5, Bradley Central 3: The Bears were held to four singles -- Ryan Giovengo, Dylan Standifer, Tucker Still and Jake Thompson – by three Gwinnett pitchers.
In the first inning, Sandifer reached on an outfield error and with two out Thompson sent an RBI single to left field.
Eli Wilson walked in the fifth, stole second base and came home when Caden Sherlin reached on an infield error.
Standifer and Sherlin each drew seventh-inning walks and Aiden McClary, running for Standifer, scored on Riley Black’s fielder’s choice.
