Several rescue agencies responded on Easter Sunday after a girl suffered a head injury after falling nine feet from a rock.

At 5:30 p.m., a 911 call was made reporting a 12-year-old had been injured at Signal Point. The Signal Mountain Fire Department responded to 112 Signal Point Trail and hiked half-way down the trail to find the injured girl.

A mutual aid response for additional manpower was requested by Signal Mountain Fire Department. Walden’s Ridge Emergency Services, the Chattanooga Fire Department USAR team and the Red Bank Fire Department responded to the scene to assist with rescue efforts.

Rescue personnel stabilized the injured child and carried her out of the woods in 1.5 hours.

Hamilton County EMS transported her to Children’s Hospital.

Red Wolves Edging Toward The Top As North Texas Comes Calling

The Chattanooga Red Wolves’ (8-5-7) season has mirrored the Scenic City weather over these last few weeks. Following a stagnant couple of weeks, seemingly stuck in the humidity during a five-match winless streak, the Red Wolves have apparently found their groove. They followed up a win against North Texas with another three-point victory over Tormenta. And now sitting at third ... (click for more)
