Mildred Dreschel, age 90, of Tunnel Hill, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Hospice of Chattanooga. She was born in Chicago, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Emma Kampenga; her devoted husband, Donald Allen Dreschel; great-grandson, John Cade Jones; sister, Eleanor Labney; and brothers-in-law, Walter Dreschel and Bill Pazdro.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Ed and Ellen Dreschel of Ringgold, Rich and Susan Dreschel of Canton, Norma and James Burroughs and Chet Dreschel of Tunnel Hill. Also surviving are her nine grandchildren, Kelly, Tracy, Allen, Emily, Alissa, JT, Diana, Abby, and John; 11 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Beatrice and Herman Frieske; brother-in-law, Tom Labney; sister-in-law, Marie Dreschel; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Mildred’s family, faith, and church were the focus of her entire life and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A memorial service to honor the life of Mildred Dreschel will be held Sunday, April 28, at 2 p.m. at Tunnel Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Jay Tenney officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be offered to Tunnel Hill United Methodist Church at P.O. Box 146, Tunnel Hill, Georgia.
