Wayne Butler, age 78, of Roberts Street, Summerville, Georgia, passed away Saturday morning, April 20, 2019 in a local nursing home.
He was born in Chattooga County, Ga. on May 6, 1940 to the late Charlie and Ruth Miller Butler.
He was preceded in death by wife, Bessie Hunter Butler on July 29, 2009; and a brother, Monroe Butler in 2013.
Surviving are his companion, Wanda Overton.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 22, at 2 p.m. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Wright and Rev. Bobby Brown officiating. Interment will be in Summerville Cemetery. Active pallbearers are Bradley Overton, Shanon Evatt, Terry Hamby, Aaron Simpson, Trey Simpson, and Brandon Crowder.
The family will receive friends Monday, April 22, from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
