Lewis, Arthur Douglas (Ringgold)

Arthur Douglas Lewis, 67, of Ringgold, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, April 21, 2019. He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia area. He served in the United States Air Force. After his service, he worked as a technician in the heating and air industry where he eventually retired. Arthur was an avid fisherman that loved the sport of golf and Tennessee Football. More than anything he enjoyed watching his grandchildren play ball.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Helen Gann Lewis.

Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Cindy Lewis; daughter, Amy (Shannon) Bates, of Ringgold; brothers, George Copeland, of Rome, Ga., Larry Lewis, of East Ridge and Bill Lewis, of Soddy Daisy; sister, Debbie Bruce, of Knoxville; and grandchildren, Taelyn and Jett Bates.

Funeral services will be noon Thursday at the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Daryl Lewis officiating, Interment will be at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
