Woman, 41, Shot Early Tuesday Morning On East 23rd Street

A woman, 41, was shot early Tuesday morning on East 23rd Street.
 
At approximately 6:22 a.m., Chattanooga Police responded to the 2000 block of E. 23rd Street on a report of a person who had been shot. Upon arrival, police located the victim who was suffering from a gunshot wound.
 
Hamilton County EMS responded to the scene and transported the woman to a local hospital.
 
The CPD Violent Crimes Bureau was notified and responded to conduct further investigation.
 
The victim declined to speak with investigators.
