Bales, Kenneth Harrison

Kenneth Harrison Bales, 86, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, April 22, 2019. He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and was of the Baptist faith. He was an Army veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict, and retired from Mayfield Dairy after more than 20 years of service. He was a true animal lover, enjoyed gardening and just spending time outdoors. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Douglas & Marion Bales; wife, Mary Elizabeth White Bales; brother, Ricky Bales; and sister, Martha Underhill.

Survivors include his son & daughter-in-law, Danny & Tina White; daughter & son-in-law, Peggy & Ricky Buckner; three sisters, Marilyn James, Kathy Dapp and Pricilla Pope; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; his dog, Baby; and numerous extended family & friends.

Funeral services will be held at noon Friday, April 26 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel, with Bro. Jackie Sexton officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 3 p.m. on Thursday and prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
