Edna Clara Foote Goins, 86, of Ringgold, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 23, 2019. She had lived in the Chattanooga & North Georgia areas for most of her life, and was a member of New Haven Baptist Church in Chattanooga. She was a loving and devoted sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother, that will be truly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard & Ida Lee Foote; husband, Bill Goins; brothers, Doyle, Kenneth, Pete & Clifford Foote; and sister, Martha Foote Hacker.
Survivors include her sons & daughters-in-law, Larry (Christy) Cagle, Terry (Maureen) Goins and Raymond (Melanie) Goins; daughter, Dianne Ownby; five step-children; brother, Harlen Foote; sister, Gail Foote; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and numerous extended family & friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 27 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel, with Pastor Robbie Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakewood South Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. on Friday and prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
