Free Vegetable Garden Class Offered On May 4

Master Gardener Katie Bishop will present a free class, Summer Gardening, Saturday, May 4, from 10 to 11 am at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, 7514 Hixson Pike, Hixson.

The class will take place rain or shine. Weather permitting, participants will attend class in the newly-renovated St. Alban’s Community Garden adjacent to the church.

Ms. Bishop is a garden coordinator at the Evelyn Davenport Navarre Teaching Garden affiliated with the Chattanooga Area Food Bank. Her talk is offered in conjunction with the St. Alban’s Farmers Market, held each Saturday morning at the church from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

A series of Garden Classes will be held at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church on the first Saturday of the month, at 10 a.m. from April through September.
