A new hotel with group-friendly accommodations will open May 1. Bode, Chattanooga, located at 730 Chestnut St., will have 54 units with one to three bedrooms and each with a living room and fully equipped kitchen.
There also will be common areas with an all-day café and market and a bar selling cocktails, beer and wine.
A beer permit was approved for the new business at the Thursday meeting of the Chattanooga Beer Board.
