The City Beer Board gave three special events permits on Thursday. On Arbor Day weekend, Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27, Eco-Field Day will be held by Greenspaces at 928 Market St. at Miller Plaza. This fundraiser for Greenspaces will be two days of field days with an eco-twist. On Friday, competition will be geared to corporate teams and Saturday is family day. There will also be live music, eco-vendors and food trucks. It is open and free to the general public.
Wrist bands will be given after IDs are checked and beer will be available at a special tent.
The Tennessee Breast Cancer Coalition is the beneficiary of Chattabrewga that will take place May 11 at First Tennessee Pavilion at Finley Stadium from 11:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. This is the seventh year for the beer festival and tasting event for 40 local, regional and national craft breweries which raised $50,000 last year. There will be four food trucks and local restaurants selling food and a D.J. Organizers expect 1,500 people to attend this year.
Another Gorgeous Evening given by the Tennessee River Gorge Trust will be held for the ninth year on May 9 at the Tennessee River Place, 3104 Scenic Waters Lane from 5:30-10 p.m. This is the main fundraising event for the River Gorge Trust and is an adult only affair. The $125 ticket includes food and drinks. Black Tie Event will handle alcohol sales.
