The Montgomery Biscuits (2-0) were out-hit 10-to-8 by Chattanooga (0-2) but beat the Lookouts Friday before a crowd of 5,743. It's only the second game of the season and clearly the Lookout hitters have yet to get into the groove. Chattanooga's starting pitchers appear to have settled in.
Lookouts starting pitcher Tony Santillan was lights out for the home team early.
The righty struck out eight batters in five innings while only allowing four hits.
Biscuits starting pitcher Josh Fleming hurled a quality start by only allowing one earned run over six innings of work. Tyler Zombrom relieved the lefty in the seventh and put three straight zeros on the board to end the game.
Down one run, the Lookouts main offensive outburst came in the sixth inning when Taylor Trammell started the inning off with his first Double-A hit. The team then loaded the bases on a Ibandel Isabel walk and a Tyler Stephenson single. Gavin LaValley brought home the team's first and only run on a sacrifice fly.
In the eighth inning, the Biscuits leaped ahead on a three-base error on a deep hit by Josh Lowe. They added one more on a Dalton Kelly RBI single.
