Chattanooga Red Wolves SC (1-1-0) defeated Forward Madison FC (0-1-0) 1-0 in the club's inaugural home opener at David Stanton Field Saturday night.
After a 0-0 draw at half, veteran striker Eamon Zayed found the net on a volley in the 66th minute, scoring the first goal at home in Chattanooga Red Wolves SC's history. Chattanooga held on to secure the historic win for the first-ever meeting between the two clubs.
Goalkeeper Alex Mangels finished the night with a clean sheet and a total of four saves and two crosses claimed.
Chattanooga Red Wolves SC returns to a week of training before traveling to Greenville, South Carolina to face Greenville Triumph SC on Saturday, April 13.
