Biloxi, MS - - - For the second night in a row the Lookouts hitters were dominated by Biloxi in the 7-1 loss on Friday night at MGM Park. Starting pitcher Johan Bellasario (3-0) threw six scoreless inning and the relievers kept Chattanooga off the scoreboard until the ninth inning.
The Shuckers went to work with a two run second inning and kept the pressure on with thirteen hits in the game.
The Lookouts would finally muster a run in the ninth inning with two out to break the 18 inning scoreless drought that was plaguing the Chattanooga.
Brantley Bell had a two hit night and reached base with an added two walks to highlight the plate appearances on the evening.
The 25-year-old Belisario, the right-hander from Venezuela, worked around a leadoff double in the first inning from TJ Friedl.
He worked around a leadoff single in the third, stranded two in scoring position in the fourth, and closed his night with a pair of perfect innings while striking out six.
The Shuckers led 2-0 when three more runs crossed against Chattanooga starter Tejay Antone (L, 4-3) in the sixth inning to make it 5-0. The final two runs came in the eighth inning.
The Lookouts broke up the shutout with a ninth inning ru.
