The Baylor Swim Club got off to a hot start on Day 1 of the 2019 Atlanta Classic Swim Meet. Cecilia Porter qualified for the 2020 Olympic Team Trials in the 100-meter breaststroke swimming a time of 1:10.34 in the morning prelims session. She ended up taking 6th overall in the event in evening finals.

On Saturday on Day 2, the Atlanta Classic Swim Meet was headlined by Baylor Swim Club/Baylor School sophomore Ellie Waldrep. She dropped at 1:02.14 to qualify for the 2020 Olympic Team Trials in the 100-meter backstroke to finish sixth overall in a very competitive championship finals heat.
Baylor alumni, and current University of Florida Gator Trey Freeman was also competing in the high level meet this weekend. He claimed first overall in the 400-meter freestyle in a time of 3:52.35. He also finished third on Friday evening in the 200-meter freestyle.

This meet features some of the top swimmers from all across the country, and is being held at the world-class Georgia Tech McAuley Aquatic Center, the home pool of the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games.
The Olympic Team Trials Swimming will be held June 21-28, 2020 at CHI Health Center in Omaha, Neb.
