Auditions Open For Professional Actor Training Program

The Professional Actor Training Program at Chattanooga State is auditioning now for this fall’s entering class. The program is a two-year college credit, certificate program. Tennessee Promise and Tennessee Reconnect students attend tuition free. 

Graduates of the program have worked in all aspects of the industry from standing-in for Chadwick Boseman, the star of 42, to founding the award-winning Savannah Stage Company.  Grads have appeared in Jessica Jones, Blue Bloods, The Vampire Diaries, The Walking Dead, Doom Patrol, Master of None, The Mysteries of Laura, and many more.  They’ve worked in all aspects of theatre – performing improv comedy for Chicago City Limits (the longest running improv comedy show in New York City) to performing, producing, stage managing, and directing for professional theaters throughout the U.S. 

To audition, submit the application at www.chattanoogastate.edu/theatre. When organizers receive the application,they will schedule an audition.  The audition consists of an interview and a one to two-minute monologue.
