18 Fire Cadets To Graduate Thursday Evening

The Hamilton County Office of Emergency Management Training Division will hold graduation ceremonies for those firefighters who have completed 288 hours of the Firefighter I course. The graduation will be held on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Chester Frost Park Pavilion.

18 fire cadets from the Firefighter I class representing several agencies including Walden’s Ridge Emergency Services, Mowbray Volunteer Fire Department, Sequoyah Volunteer Fire Department, Soddy Daisy Fire Department, Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department, Rhea County Fire Department, East Ridge Fire Department and Lone Oak Volunteer Fire Department will receive their certificates.

Jim Daughettee will present the Shane Daughettee Award to a firefighter graduate selected by their class instructors.

Since firefighter Shane Daughettee’s death, this award is given to a fire graduate who demonstrates great leadership, attitude and dedication throughout the duration of Firefighter I class.
