Carmella Baird

Carmella Patricia Baird, 68, lifetime resident of Bradley County, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, after an extended illness.

“Monka” will always be known for her unselfishness and always taking care of others first before herself. She loved southern sweet tea, banana pudding, unusually large Christmas trees, the beach, and spoiling her eight grandchildren.

Momma was preceded in death by her parents Ivan and Lennis Willis and her brother Dewayne Pendergrass.

Left behind to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 47 years, Gary Nathan Baird; children Kellie, Erick (Amy) and Aaron (Kristin); eight wonderful grandchildren: Taylor, Melissa, Jesse, Morgan, Austin, Baylor, Kara and Brooks; sister Sue Ann Johnson; nephews Robert Johnson and Johnathan Pendergrass and Baby her little Yorkie.

The family would also like to thank Karen West of Hospice of Chattanooga for guiding our family through this process.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 23, from 1-3 p.m. with a celebration of life service to follow at Companion Funeral Home in Cleveland.

You are invited to share a personal memory of Carmella or your condolences with her family at her online memorial at www.companionfunerals.com. Companion Funeral and Cremation Service and the Cody family are honored to assist the Baird family with these arrangements.
