Palace Theater Has Dead Poets Society 30th Anniversary Screening

Benefits Lights For Brainerd High Campaign

  • Thursday, May 23, 2019

Dylan Kussman, one of the original seven Dead Poets from the movie Dead Poets Society, is hosting a 30th Anniversary screening of the film at the Palace Theater on June 2.  It will be 30 years to the day since its release in theaters. I

The screening will be a benefit raising money to install a working theatrical lighting system in the Brainerd High School auditorium. Currently Brainerd (an Opportunity Zone school) has no drama program, and only overhead fluorescent lights on their stage.

"I thought, what better use of a movie about finding your voice than to help out the next generation of theater, dance and stage production students?" said Mr. Kussman.

For more information on the screening visit the Facebook page or visit the Palace Theater ticket portal for ticket information.
