Julius Everett Smith, born December 21, 1960 in Chattanooga, Tennessee departed this life on Monday, May 20, 2019 after days of illness at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga.

Julius was a member of Pleasant Hill AME Zion Church where he served faithfully as the chairman of trustee, a member of Lay Council, Asst. Sunday School superintendent and president of Usher Board.

“Uncle Ju” loved all his babies.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard C. Smith and Wilma Lee Smith; brother, Maurice C. Smith; and sister, Sandra M. Smith.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory children, one daughter, Ahzia; two sons, Cameron and Kyvie all of Tennessee; two grandchildren, Aiden and Karlee of Alabama; brother, Bruce (Diana) Smith; sister, Tracie M. Garrett of Tennessee; stepsisters, Anna Gallagher, Cindy (Rev. Mike) Landry of Texas; two stepbrothers, Charles Ewing of Tennessee and Rev. Albert (Phadra) Hanks of Florida; one uncle and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A service will be held Sunday, May 26, at 1:30 p.m. at Pleasant Hill AME Zion Church with Rev. James T. Willis Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, May 25, from 7-8:30 p.m. at Coulter Garrison Funeral Home.
