Ridgeland's Tanner Hill Will Play Baseball At Cleveland State

Cleveland State baseball has signed Tanner Hill from Ridgeland High School in Rossville, Ga. to their roster for 2020.

Hill, who was a 6'2" utility player in high school, hit .418 with 26 RBI, 7 HR and 12 SB this year and also posted a 3.19 ERA with 48 strikeouts on the mound. He was named to the 2018 All-State and All-Region teams as well as earning spots on the Walker County Dream Team, All-North Georgia Team, and a spot on the Georgia MaxPreps Top 100 list.

He also was the 4A Home Run Leader in 2019.

"Tanner has had a great career at Ridgeland High School," head coach Mike Policastro said. "He is a strong kid that has power that should be able to play at the next level. We are excited about having him in our program."
