A man caught at his Ringgold, Ga., home with a large amount of 94 percent pure meth, an assault rifle and five other guns and $99,000 cash has been sentenced to serve 195 months in federal prison.

Randall Scott "Scottie" Rounsaville, 30, appeared before Federal Judge Sandy Mattice in Chattanooga on Monday morning.

Authorities said the case was brought in Chattanooga because Rounsaville was part of a meth conspiracy that operated in Tennessee as well as Georgia.

His sentencing range was 210-262 months, but Judge Mattice said the most he had given a co-defendant was 180 months for Mike Glass. Rounsaville is the 10th of a dozen people arrested in the case to be sentenced by Judge Mattice.

Attorney Mike Acuff cited Rounsaville's difficult childhood and mental issues. He said he did not have an extensive criminal record.

Judge Mattice said, "If this was his first mistake, it was a doozy."

Rounsaville was arrested in East Ridge in August 2016 for suspicion of being drunk while riding his motorcycle.

He was charged with the aggravated robbery of a Country Hearth Inn and Suites in 2010.

Prosecutor Joe DeGaetano said during a search of Rounsaville's home on Jan. 25, 2017, a large clear plastic tote was found containing the cash neatly bundled by denominations, the guns that included a Spiker tactical AR15, and 3,797 grams of meth along with marijuana.

Rounsaville admitted he had been getting shipments of meth from Atlanta for about 5-6 months.

He told the judge he was sorry he would not be around to take care of his mother and watch his kids grow up. He said, "I don't get to see my son very often, but I love him with all my heart." He said his three daughters have always lived with him.

Attorney Acuff said Rounsaville had been jailed numerous times from 30-90 days for not paying child support for the son.

Rounsaville said, "I'm a good person who made a bad mistake."
