Walter George Cochran, 85, of Ooltewah, passed away after a brief illness on Monday, June 10, 2019.
He worked at several paper mill companies in Ohio and Tennessee and retired from Rock-Tenn “Westrock” Paper Manufacturing as the plant engineer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Cochran; parents, Lloyd and Dorothy Cochran; and sister, Gladys Benefield.
Surviving are his children, Jane (Terry) Rohr, Judy (Frank) Turner and Mark (Dana) Cochran; grandchildren, Lauren (Luke) Barnette, Brittany Rohr, John Turner, Brock (Amanda) Turner, Robert Turner, Emily Cochran and Holly Cochran; great-granddaughter, Olivia; brother, Eugene Cochran; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, at the funeral home followed by a 3 p.m. funeral service at the funeral home with Reverend Wayland Stewart officiating.
A graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 14, at Holly Hills Cemetery in Fairburn, Ga.
