Mocs Golfers Compete In Tennessee Women's Amateur Championship

The Chattanooga Mocs duo of Maddy McDanel and Rheagan Hall are both in the top 10 at the Tennessee Women's Amateur Championship. This year's title hunt is taking place at Black Creek Club just outside downtown Chattanooga.

McDanel, a rising senior, is tied for sixth after a 1-under 71 Wednesday. She's at 2-over 146 through 36 holes. That's one ahead of Hall's 147 turning in cards of 74 and 73. Hall, a soon-to-be sophomore, is tied for ninth. Coach Colette Murray is tied for 40th.

The final round starts at 9:41 a.m., for Murray.
Hall is off at 11:41 while McDanel takes the tee at 11:52. The last Moc to capture the Tennessee Women's Am title was Emily McLennan at Cherokee Country Club in Knoxville in 2014.
