Pastor Ray Charles Powe, 58, of Chattanooga, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2019, in a local hospital.   

He was employed with Chattanooga Housing Authority.  He pastored True Vine Ministry and Kingdom Ministry, Incorporated. 

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Ella Mae Powe; brother, Lorenzo Powe; sisters, Beulah Tolliver, Nora Hampton, and Lula Rogers.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Nettie Elaine Powe; daughters, Tiffany Billingsley and Yolanda Dodds; grandchild, Adam Dodds, all of Chattanooga; brothers, Cecil Powe, Larry (Andrea) Powe of Shadygrove, AL, and Ronnie (Iris) Powe of Chattanooga; sister, Julie Mae (James) Whigham of Carmichael, MS; uncles, Leo Powe and Wesley Powe; aunts, Georgia Powe and Ruby Philon, all of Shadygrove, AL.

Visitation will be on Friday, June 14, from 6-8 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. 

Funeral services will be on Saturday, June 15, at 12:30 p.m. at United Tabernacle C.O.G.I.C. with Overseer Richard Sanders as the eulogist.
