8 Arrested In Bradley County For Multiple Storage Unit Burglaries In Georgetown

Investigators with the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, in cooperation with the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office, have arrested eight people tied to numerous storage unit burglaries in Georgetown. The arrests happened on Monday and Wednesday.

12 separate storage units have been burglarized leaving several thousand dollars in damage at the storage facility as well as items stolen from the premises.

This has been an ongoing investigation for a period of several months ending with the arrest of several suspects after evidence of the crimes was left at the scene. A limited amount of property has been recovered and returned to the rightful owners.

The persons arrested include: Austin Ledbetter, 19, of Decatur - Dakota Thomas, 22, of Decatur; Haley Lawson, 26, of Cleveland; Jackie Roberts, 42, of Georgetown; Billy Harden, 20, of Decatur; Billie Redden, 22, of Decatur; David Dixon, 22, of Birchwood; Chase Christian, 27, of Charleston.

Charges range from several counts of burglary and theft to vandalism and conspiracy to commit burglary. Additional charges are pending stemming from narcotics found during the arrests.

David Dixon had multiple outstanding warrants including violation of state probation and Chase Christian had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear on narcotics related charges in Bradley County.
