John Collins
John Paul “J. P.” Collins, 81, of Ooltewah, passed on Thursday, June 13, 2019.
Mr. Collins retired from Dupont after 34 years and was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Mary Kenneth Collins; parents, Thomas Raleigh Collins and Nell Ruth Collins; five brothers; one sisters and one infant sister.
Surviving are his four children, Paula (Ronnie) Holder, Markitta Collins, Janice (Skip) Arp and Perry (Pam) Collins; three grandchildren, Eric (Cortney) Holder, Josh Holder and Chad Collins; six great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Holder, Carson Holder, Jase Holder, Harper Holder, Brayden Centers and Dallas Bates; two great-great-granddaughters, Caraline and Gracelyn Bates; brother, Larry “Phillip” (Joyce) Collins; sister, Martha “Mop” (Garvis) Branham; two sisters-in-law, Norma Burdette and Sylvia Johnson; and one brother-in-law, Charles Holder.
The family will receive friends from 3-8 p.m. on Friday, June 14, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, at the funeral home with Pastor Chad Chandler and Pastor Toby Brogden officiating and special friend, Jim Robinson will speak.
Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens East.
