LeRoy Austin
LeRoy Austin, 75, of Chattanooga, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2019, in a local hospital.
He was a graduate of Howard High School class of 1961. He retired from United Parcel Service as a Manager. LeRoy was a member of New Emmanuel Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, BeRoy Austin; mother, Vera A. Hudson; sister, Paulette White.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Diane Myers Austin; son, Michael LaRoy (Crissy) Austin of Atlanta; daughters, Valerie Austin and Piper Austin; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; seven brothers, Larry, Carstone, William, Vincent, George, Tony, Rodney; eight sisters, Gwendolyn, Patricia, Tonetta, Bonice, Donice, Sherry, Cynthia, and Tonia; aunts, Sweetie Simmons and Carlotta Lewis, both of Chattanooga; and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be on Friday, June 21, from 6-8 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, June 22, at noon in the chapel with Pastor Levaughn Flanders as the eulogist. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
