MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- For the third consecutive game the Montgomery Biscuits (42-25) hit a home run early in the first inning and tagged another in the sixth for the 2-1 over the Chattanooga Lookouts (35-31) on Friday night at Riverwalk Stadium.
Kevin Padlo blasted his seventh home run of the season in the bottom of the first off Chattanooga starter Packy Naughton (2-3), which put Montgomery up, 1-0.
Rene Pinto clubbed his first Double-A home run in the sixth to give the Biscuits their second run,
The only run for Chattanooga came in the seventh with Alfredo Rodriguez's double (his second hit of the night). T.J. Friedl moved him over on a bunt single (capping his three hit evening) and the fielder's choice from Taylor Trammell brought the run for the Lookouts.
Chattanooga missed scoring chances in the last two innings of the game The Lookouts left 11 men on base and were 2-for-10 with runners in scoring position.
