Gordon Calhoun
Daniel Gordon Hamer Calhoun, Jr., age 75, of Chattanooga, passed away June 14, 2019 in a local healthcare facility.
He was born August 11, 1943 in Chattanooga to the late Florence Gennoe and Daniel Gordon Calhoun, Sr.
Gordon was a United States Navy Veteran serving during the Vietnam Era.
He was retired from TVA after 35 years of service. He has also worked with Combustion Engineering.
He was Past President of TVA Engineering Association and served on the Board of Industrial Development for Hamilton County.
Mr. Calhoun attended East Ridge Church of the Nazarene.
His brother Donald Calhoun preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Ann Calhoun; son, Dan Calhoun of Chattanooga; daughter, Rebecca (Andrew) Keffer of St. Augustine, FL; grandchildren, Makala Calhoun, Isaac, Caleb and Elijah Keffer; sister, Brenda Calhoun; eight sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 17, 2019 from 4-8 p.m. and Tuesday, June 17, 2019 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. in the East Brainerd Chapel with Rev. Charles Knight officiating.
Interment will follow at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
