Thelma Krider
Thelma (TK) Nicholson Krider, 90, wife, mother and grandmother, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 15, 2019.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Carl and Lela Nicholson.
She is survived by her husband – the love of her life for 70 years, Ed Krider; two children, Sandye (Don) Helms and Mike (Connie) Krider; grandchildren, Robert Esch and Chris (Ashton) Esch, Beverley (Richard) Poteet and Jed (Cherry) Krider; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Geneva (Ed Jolley) Lee, Glema Humphrey, Betty Wise; brothers, Glenn (Shirley) Nicholson, James (Ola) Nicholson, Garland (Virginia) Nicholson, and Bobby Nicholson; several nieces and nephews and a special family friend, Nancy Dobbs.
TK, with 5 holes in one, was an avid golfer. She enjoyed competing in local, state and tournaments throughout the South. She was a member of The Chattanooga Women’s Golf Association and was named an honorary member.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 18, from 1-3 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel. A private Celebration of Life service will be held afterward for the immediate family.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the Manorhouse staff for their loving care of our mother and the kindness to our family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tn. 37403.
