CARTA Releases Concepts For Chattanooga's Transit Future

  • Monday, June 17, 2019

CARTA will host a public meeting to discuss four possible transit concepts as part of the second phase of CARTA’s Redesign: Planning for the Future planning study.

The meeting will be held Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at the Downtown Chattanooga Public Library - Main Auditorium.

CARTA wants the community to help decide what the future of public transit should look like in Chattanooga.  There are four concepts that will be presented for discussion.

The CARTA Redesign: Planning for the Future is a year-long planning study led by CARTA in partnership with the city of Chattanooga, the Regional Planning Agency and many community partners, to analyze the current CARTA fixed route bus network and recommend changes to the system.

More information about the CARTA Redesign planning study is available on the website at www.gocarta.org
