Charles Beasley
Charles Henry Beasley, 70, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2019, at his residence in Atlanta, Georgia.
He was a 1967 graduate of Howard High School. Charles was a faithful member of New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church of Atlanta.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Cora Beasley; son, Derek Walker; sister, Laura Carthern; nieces, Aletha Walker and Cynthia Walker.
Survivors include his children, Gregory (Frances) Beasley, Rodney (Cathy) Scott, Gerald Mack, Stephanie Brooks, DeAndrea (Bobby) Berry, Shawntranet Grant, Toy (Stanley) Jackson, and India Morgan; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Brenda Price; brother-in-law, James Carthern, Sr.; three devoted nephews; other family members and friends.
Charles will lie in state on Friday, June 28, after 12:30 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, June 29, at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Minister Shedric Carthern, Sr. as the eulogist. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
