Albert Cassrell “Cassie” Stafford, Jr., 70, lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2019, at a local hospital.
He was a self-employed handyman. Mr. Stafford was a 13-year veteran of the US Army and lifetime member of the DAV and VVA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert C. and Cora Brewer Stafford, Sr.; brothers, Larry Stafford, Ernest Stafford, and Howard Stafford.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Mae Stafford of Cleveland; children: Randy Stafford, Sr., Albert Stafford, III, and wife, Renee Stafford, and Ronnie Stafford all of Cleveland; grandchildren: Randy Stafford, Jr., of Richmond, IN, Johnny Stafford of Kingsport, TN, Alexander Stafford, Andrew Donaldson, and Harley Donaldson all of Cleveland; five great grandchildren; sister, Corrine O’Dell of Alabama; and brothers, Jimmy Stafford of GA., and Joe Stafford of Athens, TN.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 19, in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Elledge officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery with Renee Stafford, Andrew Donaldson, Harley Donaldson, Alexander Stafford, Randy Stafford, and Albert Stafford serving as pallbearers.
His family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
